Capacity

Four cards and a folded note or two. This is not a wallet — it is a cardholder, and it refuses to pretend otherwise. If you need to carry cash in bills, coins, receipts, and a spare key, this is the wrong object.

The leather

Pueblo veg-tan. The surface has a distinctive matte waxy finish that picks up thumbprints and wear in ways that photograph beautifully and feel even better. Expect your cardholder to be recognizable as yours inside a month.

The edges

Hand-burnished, sealed with gum tragacanth, not chemical edge paint. Burnishing is a small fifteen-minute procedure that I do for every single one of these. Worth every minute.

Lovely craft. It is a four-card holder, as advertised, but I did not realize how genuinely minimal that was — my fault for not reading. If you carry a lot of cards, this is not the object for you. If you carry three, it is perfect.
