The hide

Bark-tanned in my own pit. Eight months in oak-bark liquor, weighted down with river stones for the first six. The cuff is cut from the shoulder, which is where the leather is densest and the fiber runs cleanest.

Formed wet

I shape every cuff wet on a wooden last, then dry it over three days. The curve is not an accident; it is the curve of a specific wrist I used as the reference hand. Yours will move to you inside a week of daily wear.

Closure

Two solid brass snaps, hand-set. Not rivets. Rivets are permanent. Snaps are deliberate.
